When building successful products you have to start with the right materials; using inferior, (out-dated) technologies often leads to failure, and extreme client dissatisfaction.

Katchall uses only 100% US recycled industrial waste polymers for our filtration media fabrics.

27 layers of spun-woven fabrics comprise the materials, leaving vast interstitial spaces for capturing and retaining pollutant constituents of concern.

Available Filtration Medias

Standard (untreated) Fabrics

          Available in 4-ounce, 6-ounce, 8-ounce, 10-ounce, 12-ounce and 14-ounce (per square yard) densities
          Particulate filtration to < 50-microns
Hydrocarbon Removal > 95% - Oils, Greases, Hydraulic Fluids, Engine Coolants, Etc.
Flow--Rates = 200 GPM, per square foot of filtration media surface area (single layer)
Head Loss = < 10% with 200 GPM metered flow per square foot at 100 psi
Effective Flow-Rates = 180 GPM (.40 Cfs) per square foot

Antimicrobial Treated Fabrics

Same general properties as those above
          99.99%
instant kill of ALL single-cell micro-organisms
Protozoa, bacteria, viruses, yeast, mold, mildew, algae and all their associated odors
          Passive agents
do not leach into discharging waters
          Microbial agent
does not degenerate over time

Copies of Laboratory Tests and 7+ years of Field Results are available upon written request

Proprietary Mixed Medias

Depending on the type of filtration device, several different mixed medias are available
          For example:
Curb Inlets, Curb Outlets, KLEERSTREAM units use a combination of zeolite and perlite
PURESTREAM, KLEERSTREAM use a combination of anthracite, zeolite, perlite, peat, etc

Heavy Metals Removal Medias

Katchall has developed proprietary combinations of medias to remove up to 42 toxic heavy metals
More information is available upon our receipt of a specific written request

CALTRANS

Katchall's Antimicrobial Filtration Media was recently chosen for inclusion in the new, (2010) CalTrans Approved BMP Handbook, stating, "Katchall's AM Fabric has been proven to be a viable stormwater filtration product, has demonstrated effective "instant kills" of pathogens, with considerably less head loss than any other competing antimicrobial product".
